Абстракт
The maximum absolute value of instantaneous speed increase of the Azov Current in the Kerch Strait, caused by anticyclones moving in southward directions with parameters recorded during 1948-2017 ice seasons, is estimated by use of Princeton Ocean 3D hydrodynamic model of general circulation in combination with hydraulic methods of channel calculation. Probability distributions of characteristics of such anticyclones, as well as modern tendencies of their frequency variation are estimated for winters of different severity on the Sea of Azov.
